Comprehensive Eye Care for Every Stage of Life

From your child’s first exam to lifelong vision care, we’re here for every milestone.

  • A comprehensive eye exam is about far more than updating your prescription. At our practice, Dr. Sutton takes the time to evaluate the full picture — your visual acuity, eye coordination, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the overall health of your eyes inside and out. Many systemic conditions, including diabetes and hypertension, first show signs in the eyes. A thorough exam isn’t just good for your vision — it’s good for your health.

We see patients of all ages, from young children having their first exam to seniors managing age-related changes in their vision. Every exam is unhurried, and every patient leaves understanding exactly what we found and what it means.

    What to expect

    •  Complete visual acuity and refraction test

    •  Eye pressure check (glaucoma screening)

    •  Retinal and optic nerve evaluation

    •  Binocular vision and eye coordination assessment

    •  Review of your personal and family eye health history

    •  Prescription update if needed

  • Children’s eyes are constantly developing, and vision problems that go undetected can affect learning, coordination, social development, and self-confidence. Many kids don’t realize their vision is unclear — because they have nothing to compare it to. A pediatric eye exam gives us the chance to catch issues like nearsightedness, farsightedness, lazy eye (amblyopia), and crossed eyes (strabismus) early, when treatment is most effective.

Dr. Sutton is experienced in making young patients feel at ease. From toddlers to teenagers, we use age-appropriate techniques that are thorough without being intimidating. We also take the time to explain findings to parents clearly, so you leave with a full understanding of your child’s eye health and any next steps.

    What to expect:

    •  Vision screening and full eye health evaluation

    •  Amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus assessment

    •  Color vision testing

    •  Myopia progression monitoring

    •  Prescription glasses fitting for children

    •  Guidance on screen time and eye health habits

  • A contact lens fitting is more than matching your glasses prescription to a box of lenses. The curvature of your eye, the health of your cornea, your daily routine, and even how much time you spend on screens all affect which lens is right for you. Dr. Sutton takes all of this into account to find a fit that’s comfortable, healthy, and suited to the way you actually live.

We fit patients in daily disposables, monthly lenses, toric lenses for astigmatism, multifocal lenses for presbyopia, and specialty lenses for more complex prescriptions. If you’ve struggled with contacts in the past, we’d encourage you to come in — the right lens can make all the difference.

    What to expect

    •  Corneal curvature measurement (keratometry)

    •  Trial lens fitting and comfort evaluation

    •  Vision check with trial lenses in place

    •  Insertion and removal guidance for new wearers

    •  Follow-up visit to confirm fit and comfort

    •  Prescription issued for your lens type and brand

  • Your glasses are one of the first things people notice about you — they should feel like a natural extension of who you are. Our frame collection is carefully curated to offer something for everyone: timeless classics, contemporary styles, lightweight options for all-day comfort, and durable frames that stand up to an active life.

Whether you’re picking up your first pair of glasses or updating a look you’ve had for years, our team will help you find frames that fit your face shape, your prescription needs, and your personal style. We also carry a selection of frames for children, because getting kids excited about wearing their glasses starts with frames they love.

    What to expect

    •  Wide selection of frames for adults and children

    •  Expert fitting and adjustment for comfort

    •  Single vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses

    •  Anti-reflective, photochromic, and blue-light filter coatings available

    •  Most major insurance plans accepted

  • Dry eye syndrome affects millions of people and is one of the most common complaints we hear in our practice. If your eyes frequently feel gritty, irritated, watery, or fatigued — especially after screen time or in air-conditioned environments — you may be dealing with dry eye disease. Left unmanaged, it can affect your quality of life and, over time, your eye health.

Dr. Sutton will evaluate the type and severity of your dry eye to develop a treatment plan tailored to your situation. This might include prescription eye drops, lifestyle adjustments, warm compress therapy, or nutritional recommendations. The goal is lasting relief — not just a temporary fix.

    What to expect

    •  Comprehensive dry eye evaluation

    •  Tear film analysis and meibomian gland assessment

    •  Prescription and over-the-counter treatment options

    •  Warm compress and lid hygiene guidance

    •  Follow-up monitoring and plan adjustment as needed

  • Many serious eye conditions — including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts — develop gradually and without obvious symptoms in their early stages. By the time vision loss is noticeable, significant damage may already have occurred. Regular comprehensive exams with Dr. Sutton give us the opportunity to catch these conditions early, when treatment options are most effective.

If you’ve been diagnosed with an eye condition, or if your family history puts you at elevated risk, Dr. Sutton provides ongoing monitoring and co-management to help you maintain the best possible vision over time. We work closely with ophthalmologists and specialists when surgical or advanced intervention is needed, ensuring a seamless care experience.

    What to expect

    •  Glaucoma screening and intraocular pressure monitoring

    •  Macular degeneration detection and monitoring

    •  Diabetic eye exam and retinopathy assessment

    •  Cataract evaluation and referral coordination

    •  Ongoing co-management with ophthalmology specialists

  • Eye emergencies can happen without warning — a sudden change in vision, an object in the eye, a painful infection, or an injury that needs immediate attention. In these situations, time matters. Delaying care can sometimes mean the difference between a full recovery and lasting damage. Our practice is equipped to assess and treat a wide range of urgent eye concerns, and we prioritize emergency appointments to get you seen as quickly as possible.

Common situations we treat include pink eye (conjunctivitis), corneal abrasions, foreign body removal, sudden eye pain, flashes and floaters, and chemical exposure. If your situation requires specialist or emergency hospital care, we will refer you promptly and help coordinate next steps.

    What to expect

    •  Same-day or next-day appointments for urgent concerns

    •  Pink eye (conjunctivitis) diagnosis and treatment

    •  Foreign body removal

    •  Corneal abrasion evaluation and care

    •  Sudden vision changes or flashes and floaters assessment

    •  Chemical exposure first response and referral if needed
